The Alaska Junior Golf Association is dedicated to providing recreation, competition and education to young golfers in Alaska while promoting and preserving the integreity, etiquette, and traditions of the game.
The AJGA desires to make junior golf available and affordable to any boy or girl who dreams of playing golf.
The AJGA incorporated in May, 1999 in response to the overwhelming growth of the AlaskaJunior Golf Tour.
What began in the early 1990’s, with a handful of junior golfers competing at Anchorage Golf Course under the efforts of Billy Bomar and John Gose, has grown to more than 60 junior golfers participating in about 8 - 10 AJGA tournaments annually.
Special thanks to Kaz Johnson, Lisa Sanders, Mike Harrington, and Roger & Carol Baca who have kept the AJGA going strong over the past five years.
The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established under guidelines set by the Internal Revenue Service.
Financial contributions and other donations to the AJGA are tax deductible.
The board of directors governs the AJGA and is elected by the association membership annually at the end of the Adult/Junior Tournament
